News Stories P7 Visit The Ulster American Folk Park Having studied the Irish Famine over the last few months the class were lucky to attend the park today for a tour of what life was like for some of the lucky Irish people who could make the journey to America to escape the Famine. P4 Visit Armagh Planetarium Primary 4 had an amazing morning at the spectacular Armagh Planetarium and Observatory! Forest school Today Primary 5 had a wonderful time as they experienced 4 seasons in one day at our Forest School Experience in the beautiful surroundings of Dungannon Park. SCHOOL BUILDING UPDATE There’s a real buzz around Kingsisland as our redevelopment moves into its final stages. Primary 5 visit W5 As part of our Science week activities, Primary 5 made their way to W5 in Belfast for a fun filled day of exploration and investigation. Term 2 ICT Excellence Award Today boys and girls of Kingsisland showcased their amazing ICT skills and hard work that they have been doing throughout Term 2. Goodbye to our student teachers We say a very sincere thank you today to Miss Heatley, Miss McNally and Miss Conlon student teachers from St Mary’s University College, Belfast, who have just completed their teaching practice here in St John’s P.S. Kingsisland. Primary 2 visit the gym P2 had a fantastic time wrapping up their People Who Help Us topic with a visit to Cuísle and Bláthnaid’s dad’s gym in Derrylaughan! P1 Easter Cup Fun! ⚽️ The sun made a brief appearance for the P1 Easter Cup tournament today! Teams from Scotland, England, Portugal, and Spain took part in a fun morning of football with plenty of smiles, and unforgettable memories! CONFIRMATION 2026 Congratulations to our wonderful Primary 7 pupils alongside our good friends from Holy Family PS, Aughamullan who received the Sacrament of Confirmation this afternoon in St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe.
